Version 1.4.6 fixed a tiny bug that caused the food choices' name to pass as English instead of other selected language(s). I've fixed this, and now all texts should pass correctly according to the languages picked. Sorry about that! Please accept this sweet apple

Pippa and Your Phantasmal Problem is here!

This post is a mirror of this itch.io's devlog here. Pippa and Your Phantasmal Problem is released for Spooktober Jam 2024! Yay! This is my first participation of the jam itself. I usually make cute and fluffy projects, so touching spooky stuff is very new to me.

(2252) The final days! Lots of playtests and fixing the final visual bug!!

It's been an interesting weekend. I was glued to my desk in these three days to fix visual bug that I couldn't figure out until the end – I fixed it, of course, but it didn't feel like a fix at all. 28th September 2024:

(2249) Finished all BGs! GUI polishing!

Today's progress: * I finished all BGs!!! Finally!!! Aaaaaaa!!! * Polished the GUI a little bit more. I wanted to do more cool stuff with it, but I suppose that's not as critical as the others. * Polished some ATL at some scenes which I coded some days ago.

(2248) GUI coding!

Today is mostly spent to decompress after yesterday's huge progress. I decided to tweak some GUI stuff! I did: * GUI coding: reskinning some Ren'Py's default look and coded some positioning. This plugin: guiManipulate helped me a lot in this!! * I was away for some

(2247) Drawing many small cut-ins, more coding!

These two days are super productive!! Note: 24th September 2024: * I finalised the sprite of Ms Ester! * I drew Pippa drawing magic diagram 'CG'. I don't really want to call it CG but it probably is a CG. * I reused the chara art from above CG

(2245) More coding!!

Thankfully, I'm much better today! :D Note: 22nd September 2024: * I coded the library scene! The librarian used layerdisplayable, since the background I used for the library scene isn't befitting the sprites. I think it's nice, it will look like a comic panel! * I

(2243) Drawing Pippa's, Kitty's and Ollie's sprites!

These two days were super unproductive because I wasn't very well physically haha so I slept a lot... 😔 My note: 20th September 2024: * Drew Pippa's sprite: some poses and expressions! * Drew Ollie's sprites! * Attempted to modify GUI: after finishing most of the background images,

(2241) Merged proofed text (first wave), finished more BGs, more coding...

I merged four days of work in this post since in my written post it's all merged in a page as well hehe. My note: 16th September 2024: * I was away the whole morning, so no work was done. * I started drawing Grim-chan's sprite! * I

(2237) Coding various features + drawing background

It's the day where I wasn't sure what to do next. Here's the note I made: 14th September 2024: * I went through the whole build once again to see how the text flows. * (It's a rather slow day...) * I drew the background

(2235) Background drawing!

Today's note: I crunched four days of work in one post because it was a pretty flat day. I drew a lot of background images; definitely not what I'm good at hahaha but my character art style is just so, so specific that the beautiful royalty-

Today's note: I've finally finished writing!! Auauauaaa!! It's at 14,110 word long. 😹 I also coded more BGMs– it's really nice to have the scenes with the tracks. It's really, really fun!! I went through everything once, and I tried

(2229) More writing, and more planning

I start combining a few days in a post since it makes more sense. Also, I start to write a few days worth of notes in one page. Yesterday and today's note: I always write in Ren'py script, so at the same time I already think

(Sorry for reusing the bana. I haven't had any more art yet. I'm focusing so much on writing this!!) Today's note: Basically I'm panicking because the word count shoots towards the roof. My 10,000-word length VN is a dream... See
